Greens, almost right after they were introduced, were nothing but glorified weapons you could get from a collector. Perfectly functional with the occassional unique skin, but for the most part worthless as they were easily acquirable. Perfect for the casual player.

I love EGGS, Because after beating a campaign I get a reward for my effort. It's useful, helps me out alot with hero items, So far I'v got a ton of greens for my heroes, Most of which I farmed or bought.

I'm glad the prices are dropping on greens. Its nice that you don't have to spend 20-50k for something that isnt really worth it.

I can farm a green faster than I can farm 20-50k. So I only ever buy cheapo's. And I rarely sell greens I get.

EGGS give players like myself who do not want to farm, or do not have the time, a perty new green to dump off on a hero, or use if we are hurting for a weapon.

Greens are so common now I customize them all. At one point I had 11 kanaxai axes, and thats a rather hard green to get. I was buying them for 5-10k. I think the money is with Golds, not greens.

I think the Greens, ALL of them were added to the game as a much simpler means of aquireing a perfect weapon/shield/offhand.

Keep in mind that they were added long before inscriptions, when finding a 15^50 weapon or a 15eneryg-1regen was neerly impossible and they all sold for 50-100K+.

Add now Hero's into the mix and it could be very hard equiping them without cheep easy to get greens.

The farmed greens really drop in price after a few weeks/months so that they are just as worthless as the end game greens.

I kinda agree with the OP. I mean, now whenever I beat a campaign, I DREAD getting another endgame green. I just don't need 20 some EGGs filling my invintory space when I already have all the weapons I want/need on my characters.

& @ Crom the Pale... yeah, collector weapons sure were IMPOSSIBLE to get.

First, you dont need to exchange talisman/amulet/etc for green at once - just storage them - they stacks - and use only if u need "that" green. All final missions are very easy/quick to pass.

Second, not all players have 20(greens)/4(campains)=5 PvE characters to complete all chapters. So that is not so big number of greens for casual/average player.

Greens are good. End-game greens are better.
GW is good in that it hands out free, perfect stuff to the casual masses.

If you don't like it, there's always crystallines/r7s/uber-rare minis to make your e-peen 3 sizes bigger. Or, you know... you can go find another game that caters for your tastes.

Nonsense.

Greens doesnt affect other itens prices. It just makes decent gear avaliable for non-hardcores.

Over-the-top rare stuff will always have over-the-top prices (like 100k+380e for an Eternal Blade lol).

"Most" of the green weapons in-game are crap. It's either an ugly skin, horrible stats or both. They most certainly are NOT rare. As far as "ruining" the price of other greens is concerned...

Since when were greens meant to be pricey and catered to the rich?

They couldnt add an end-game chest as it would be subject to serious abuse (shiro farming anyone?), similarly they couldnt limit it to a one time open because if you got a crappy diamond or something after completing the game, when others are getting rare max golds... you'd be a little peeved.

End game greens are fine, it takes about the same amount of energy to complete a campaign once than it does to farm a green of the same stats.

I do, however, think that they should make the collector item (eg, Deldrimor Token, Amulet of the Mists etc) untradable.

I like wal-mart and I like greens, including end-game greens. Greens were made so that people could get them without dealing with the gold item market. Although there has always been a green market, it is much shorter lived for most items than golds are. I say leave them be. I also think the op is an elitsist whiner in both the giving out greens and going to wal-mart cases.

Green haven't been worthed anything ever since factions. The only reason it is worthed something in prophecies is because its the only way to get perfect weapons for the majority of players.

After faction whereby more farmable greens are available, the green market haven't recovered ever since. The only difference now is just rare skin vs common skin. Stats wise, it doesn't matter. ie you don't pay higher for greens that have superior mods.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but weren't people able to craft or mod perfect weapons since the beggining of the game?

Greens, I was under the impression, were valuable not only becuase they have perfect stats, but mostly becuase they have unique skins. How are end game greens different from being able to craft weapons? If people are willing to pay extra for a green simply becuase it's a green that's one thing, but I always thought people wanted them mostly for their unique skins.
